Guardian Story

The Guardian Story has become a successful way for programs to have an opportunity to “tell the story” of our movement’s amazing Torch Runners and their local LETR program. This is not an award, but a time to recognize Torch Runners and programs who have demonstrated an unparalleled commitment, passion, overcame challenges, or achieved exceptional triumphs in support of athletes of Special Olympics. We are looking for stories that are inspirational, motivational, and deserve to be highlighted before our movement, stories that need to be shared. These can be stories of a single individual or a group of individuals in the LETR space. Certainly, there are many of those stories throughout our global programs, but unfortunately, time prohibits us from sharing all of them during the conference. Those stories selected to be showcased will be presented to the international conference attendees at a general session.

Submission Requirements:
Each submission must include the following information. Please adhere to the submission requirements as requested.

• All submissions must be entirely digital and submitted to Lisa via a Dropbox link.
• All stories must be created as a video or photo montage (2 - 3 minutes) with narration.

Submission Period: Submissions are open through September 1, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET.
