Inspector Tina Davies has been actively involved with the Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) since 2013, after being introduced to the movement during the Asia Pacific Games in Newcastle. Since that time, she has served in key leadership roles within the New South Wales LETR Program, including Torch Run Coordinator and Vice President of the Executive Committee. Tina has helped lead unified sporting events, supported Special Olympics NSW State Championships, and coordinated fundraising initiatives such as Polar Plunges and Splash events. She has also supported Torch Runs across the Oceania region, including South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, and New Zealand, and was selected to represent NSW LETR at the 2019 Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi. Tina is deeply committed to building trust and meaningful connections between law enforcement and individuals with intellectual disabilities, using LETR as a platform to promote inclusion, respect, and community engagement.
With a distinguished policing career spanning more than 30 years, Tina serves as an Inspector with the New South Wales Police Force and currently manages the Recruitment Branch. Her experience includes frontline policing, Traffic and Highway Patrol, Police Transport Command, and executive-level workforce leadership roles. She has led significant organizational reforms in recruitment strategy, strengthened workforce capability during high-demand periods, and advanced initiatives focused on diversity and community engagement. Tina’s leadership has been recognized with the Australian Police Medal, along with several Commissioner’s and Rotary awards. She holds a Diploma in Teaching from the University of New South Wales and has completed multiple leadership and policing qualifications through the Australian Institute of Police Management and Splash events.
